Los jueves a las 7.

Tengo 21 años. Y los jueves a las 7 de la tarde, estoy escuchando a Warren Buffett.

No porque sea una fanática de las finanzas, Sino porque hay alguien que convierte esa hora en la mejor hora del día. Y porque hay un lugar - Instituto Baikal - que logra que Buffett, Platón o Paul Graham se sientan como una historia que no podés dejar de escuchar.

Hace unos meses me animé a entrar a un espacio que parecía ser solo para personas con experiencia y yo como recién empiezo, senti que no iba a encajar. Pero entre igual, solo quería escuchar.

Y no me equivoque.

En Baikal no solo se aprende. Cada clase es como una charla TED que no sabías que necesitabas, Se habla de historia, negocios, filosofía, arte, tecnología, innovación, magia (y cosas que sigo sin entender). Pero sobre todo, se conecta.

Como dice Emiliano:

"Somos lo que hacemos en nuestro tiempo libre."

Y yo, en mi tiempo libre, elijo estar ahí. Aprendiendo cosas que nunca pensé que iba a aprender. Escuchando a personas que logran que Platón sea mi plan ideal de jueves a la tarde.

Es otra forma de comunicar, simple y motivadora. Sin promesas, Solo ideas bien contadas. Baikal es un universo abierto y te dejan pensando cosas que no pensabas pensar.

A few months ago I worked up the courage to walk into a space that seemed to be only for experienced people, and me, just starting out, I felt I wouldn't fit in. But I went in anyway. I just wanted to listen.

And I wasn't wrong.

And me, in my free time, I choose to be there. Learning things I never thought I'd learn. Listening to people who make Plato the ideal plan for a Thursday afternoon.

It's another way of communicating, simple and motivating. No promises. Just ideas told well. Baikal is an open universe, and they leave you thinking thoughts you weren't thinking before.
